🇬🇧 | Learn from the stars: Barca v Levante
One of the important things at Profive Academy is to ensure our players learn from the stars (as we like to call it). We had an amazing opportunity to go and watch one of the LNFS play off matches between Barça and Levante. Levante, who finished 8th in the league, was one of the surprises to make it to the playoffs. It was a must win match for Barça.
The game was at Palau Blaugrana which is an amazing venue to get up close and personal to the game and the players. As it is an intimate venue the noise of the fans, drums and the Dracs (the Barca super fans) was incredible. Right from the first to the last minute encouraging their team.
Before the match, we had the opportunity to chat with David Madrid, Levante's coach, who is a great coach and comes from the great Caja Segovia with an incredible futsal history, and sharing the bench with Jesus Velasco (from inter Movistar). He is achieving great results with the team.
It was a dominant display by Barça who controlled the game from the beginning till the end. Cheered on by their Dracs who’s encouraging chants were incredible.
After the match our Profive players got to meet many of the Barça players, who are always fantastic and willing to take photos and sign shirts and flags for their fans. Our close friend Didac Plana (Barça's goalkeeper) took some time to chat about the game and take some photos with us. A fantastic experience for our players. Interesting fact is that our coach Toni was Dida’s coach when he was young and they remain close friends.
It was a great night. Futsal, like is meant to be.
